Preparing for your Juice Cleanse

Preparing for your Juice Cleanse

Listen to your body, be kind to yourself and enjoy the process. Happy cleansing & Good luck!

A raw juice cleanse is a great way to give your body a break and reset your system. It can help to detoxify the body, boost energy levels and can promote weight loss. However, before you begin your cold pressed juice cleanse, it's important to properly prepare your body for the experience.

We recommend preparing for the days pre- and post-cleanse. A last supper mentality is only going to make the first day that much harder, also scale back on the caffeine if possible (but beware the caffeine withdrawal headache).

In the lead up to you cleanse, try to reduce/remove any stimulants such as sugar, caffeine, alcohol and dairy to make the transition as easy as possible. Try to pick cleanse start date with nominal temptation and lifestyle interfering (appreciate this is not always easy).

Here are some tips to help you get ready for your juice cleanses:

Gradually reduce your intake of processed foods and sugar. Processed foods and sugar can be difficult for the body to digest and can cause inflammation. By steadily reducing your intake of these foods in the weeks leading up to your juice cleanse, you'll help your body adjust to the change in diet. This will make it less likely for you to experience cravings during the cleanse.

Start incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Fruits and vegetables are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are vital for good health. By boosting your intake of fruits and vegetables in the weeks leading up to your juice cleanse, you'll help your body get used to the increased intake of nutrients and fibre that you'll be getting during the cleanse.

Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is key during a juice cleanse, and it's important to make sure that your body is well-hydrated before you begin. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day in the weeks leading up to your juice cleanse. This will help to flush out toxins and set up your body for the detox process.

Consider doing a mini-cleanse before starting your juice cleanse. A mini-cleanse can help to reduce any detox symptoms that you may experience during the juice cleanse, such as headaches or fatigue. This can be as simple as cutting out processed foods and sugar for a few days or as complex as doing a full juice fast. It all depends on your health condition and what you feel comfortable with.

Get enough sleep. During a juice cleanse, your body will be working hard to detox, so it's important to make sure that you're getting enough rest. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night in the weeks leading up to your juice cleanse. This will help to improve energy levels and support the detox process.

Listen to your body. If at any point during the cleanse you feel unwell or dizzy, stop immediately and consult with a medical professional. Juice cleansing is not for everyone, and it's important to be aware of your body's limitations.

Get support. It can be helpful to have someone to share the experience with or to check in with during the cleanse. Share your goals, progress and experience with a friend, family member or a coach.

By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to a successful juice cleanse and kickstart a health - even for beginners. Even if you don't follow the guide and do need to eat some food - remember your are flooding your body with nutritious juices packed with vitamins and nutrients - its all super healthy for you and your gut.

Remember that the goal of juice cleansing is not to lose weight quickly but to give your body a break and to nourish it with vital vitamins and minerals. Also, it's important to keep in mind that the benefits of juice cleansing will be more long-term if you maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle after the juice cleanse.
