Why Juice?
It is widely accepted that a broad spectrum of vitamins, minerals and nutrients are required for our bodies to function optimally and in today’s fast-paced and convenience-driven society, we often neglect to realise that grabbing a processed sandwich or even a fresh soup from the chiller cabinet just isn’t providing our bodies with the optimum nutrition they deserve.
Drinking nutrient dense, raw cold pressed juice is the most effective and efficient way to deliver the enzymes, minerals, nutrients and essential vitamins your body needs to renew cells, promote youthfulness and reinvigorate your health. A simple easy grab and go nutrient hit in liquid form.
Why Cleanse?
If you're choosing a juice cleanse, there's one important (often misunderstood) thing to keep in mind: It's not a shortcut to weight loss. But if your goal is to boost your immune system, help improve gut health, or recirculate valuable vitamins and nutrients in your body after a few too many happy hours, there's a unique juice cleanse out there that can certainly help in those areas. Our liver and kidneys are already effective at eliminating toxins, however, having a day or two without any junk food or alcohol can only be a good thing.
A juice cleanse can be a useful way of kickstarting a healthy eating plan. By eliminating processed and inflammatory foods (think meat, dairy and refined sugar) and toxins such as caffeine and alcohol, and instead taking in easily-assimilated nutrients, we allow our bodies the time and resources they need to begin the process of renewal.
With a cleanse, you immediately break the cycle of craving foods that undermine your health, and while you may experience a few adverse symptoms (often known as a detox reaction, headache potentially associated with ditching coffee for example), once these have cleared, and your natural energy levels restored, you will find that the pull of unhealthy and addictive foods mush less desirable. Juicing can also help you identify and confront unhelpful food patterns, such as stress and boredom eating. Knowing that you are getting all the nutrients you need but still want to eat? Investigate your relationship with food.
Juicing gives your digestive system a break, and the energy your body would have otherwise expended in digestion can be used for other bodily processes that are often postponed or else completely abandoned. Medication, processed food and even stress can cause imbalances in the gut’s microbiome. By consuming a rainbow of plant-based, phytonutrient rich fruit and vegetable juices, we flood our system with nutrients and allow our guts to begin to repair.
The gut houses approximately 70% of our immune system. An imbalance in our microbial flora can therefore have a huge impact in our susceptibility to disease and infection. Giving your body an influx of essential nutrients, vitamins in the form of cold-pressed juices is a great way of revitalising your immune system.
Why cold-pressed?
Cold-pressed juice is made with a hydraulic press that uses thousands of pounds of pressure to extract the maximum amount of liquid from fresh fruits and vegetables. No additional heat or oxygen is used in the process, meaning that no nutrients are lost in the heat of traditional pasteurisation.
Whereas a traditional centrifugal juicer, and even a masticating juicer to a certain extent creates some heat friction, meaning faster degradation of nutrients and enzymes, cold-pressing with a hydraulic juicer retains the maximum amount of nutrients, ensuring your body is able to absorb the optimum from the produce. It also means that the nutrient profile of the juice lasts much longer – longer than three days in many cases, whereas other juices need to be consumed as soon as they have been made.
Finally, cold pressed juice simply taste better! The optimum extraction from our produce ensures a consistent flavour across our range and a maximum nutrient bang for your calorie buck!
Is there more than one cleanse option?
Yes! We offer three different cleanse options, with one having slightly more fruit juices incorporated than the other. Our first cleanse is great for first timers, as well as those who are more physically active. Our third cleanse is great for juicing veterans or those who already eat a predominately vegan diet.
How long can my juices last? How should I store them?
You should consume your juice within 3 days after you receive it. Unlike brands sold at the grocery store we never use HPP and our juice is 100% raw. Store your juice in your fridge. Never leave your juice out, as this can cause harmful bacteria to grow.
Is your juice suitable for freezing?
It is possible to extend the shelf life of the juice by freezing it. Please make a bit of space in the bottle to allow the juice to expand whilst freezing. Freeze before the use-by date.
Can I cleanse and eat food too?
The benefits of a cleanse will be lost if you eat solid food in addition to the juices. The idea of a cleanse is to only consume the juice so that your digestive system has time to rest. However, if you want to supplement your current diet with fresh pressed juice, it’s great for digestion and packed with vitamins and minerals. Remember, there’s no right or wrong way to cleanse. If you feel you need to supplement your chosen cleanse with light meals, go for it. Do what feels right for your body and enjoy.
Can’t I just use my nutribullet and make them at home?
There is a difference between a blended vegetable and a juiced one. Cold-pressing removes the insoluble fibre from the produce, which reduces transit time through the digestive system and means that an optimal amount of nutrients are absorbed as quickly as possible. Nearly a kilo of fresh produce goes into every one of our 500ml juices and to take in the same amount via a nutribullet would require a lot of water and create a thick, fibrous blend.
Why has my juice separated?
Separation is an entirely natural occurrence in cold-pressed juices. As no stabilisers are added to keep it aesthetically pleasing. Just shake it baby!

Aren’t juices just full of sugar?
Not all sugars are created equally! There’s a big difference between white, refined sugar with no nutrient value, and the nutrient dense fruit juice with natural sugars provided by nature. We use either apple or pear as a base, both of which contain pectin, a soluble fibre, which assist in the assimilation of sugars.
If you’re still concerned about sugar, then why not try our Garden Green cleanse package which has the lowest fruit content.
Why is your juice expensive?
Making cold pressed juice is an expensive process unless you are making thousands of litres a day and then preserving the shelf life using HPP or adding preservatives. There are several reasons why cold pressed juice is considered expensive:
- Cold pressed juices are a higher quality drink. Processed juices use large scale production which lowers the juice cost but that means the juice is no longer fresh. Some of the larger juice companies are even adding nutrients back into the juice after the processing has finished.
- Making fresh juice is an expensive business model as it means we cannot do a big production run and then keep the stock for several weeks or months (this reduces staffing costs, delivery, increases discounts for bulk buying etc). This is the price of drinking high quality, fresh juice.
- Making juice is labour intensive. There are numerous processes involved: cleaning, peeling and washing fruit and veg, juicing, cleaning juicers between flavours, mixing, bottling, applying labels, packing. It is a lovely job to have but can be quite time consuming.
- Delivery is a large chunk of the cost of the juice. We include this in the price. Due to the fresh nature of the juice, we use over night, chilled delivery with ice packs and specialist packaging.
- The ingredients we use are high quality and we cram loads in to each juice. There is no added water, no concentrates, no preservatives. No nasties!
